The Stitch n’ Bitch Society is a weekly meet up of students for creative crafting while gossiping. The predominant activities would be knitting and crocheting, bringing together passionate stitchers with people who have never tried before.
The more experienced crafters can help out the beginners, allowing the exchange of knowledge to begin to form a community. There is also space for embroidery, sewing, collaging, painting, and whatever general creativity people want to get involved in or bring along.
To encourage the ‘bitching’ aspect between members, we have discussion prompts from recent news, hypotheticals, trends and celebrity gossip.
Everyone is welcome to come along for a trial session, and we plan to provide some materials to help people learn, but it would be great if we could have small donations when you join to help us buy more yarn, needles and hooks for everyone.
We will meet in The Lounge on Tuesdays from 5:15-6:30pm starting from January 16th.
Membership is £2 for the year.
