Campus Officers

The Union's Campus Officers are elected from the UCA student body to represent views and opinions on their campus, with the goal of making things better.

Campus Officers have a hand in almost every aspect of the Union, but are your specific contacts if you need guidance through a difficult situation at uni, or want help trying to change things for the better. If they can't help, they'll definitely know who can, so it's always worth coming to the Union before anywhere else.

These pages offer a bit more detail about the Officer from your campus, so choose a location above and find out who they are and how to contact them.

If you're looking for staff contacts on your campus, details can be found on our Campuses page.

  • Nearly three times the cost but the same timetable

    epsom blog

    Date: Sunday, August 05, 2012

More than ever students will have deliberated long and hard about their chosen place of study. Now they have chosen UCA and they are almost on their way to one of our five campuses. It is understandable that they will be expecting more from their university, and it is up to staff to deliver more to them. Trebling tuition fees has not led to a rise in the number of contact hours for students.
  • Quality Assurance from the students

    epsom blog

    Date: Saturday, August 04, 2012

Is it possible for a student to question the quality of what the university is giving them? It comes as no surprise that students like to make sure that what they are getting from the university is more than adequate.

At midnight, 31st July 2012, our campus passed over from UCA to MidKent College ownership. Each passing day I realise how much of a mistake the decision was. Here are six reasons why selling our campus was a dumb idea.

    maidstone blog

    Date: Friday, August 03, 2012

I suppose we can forgive you for forgetting that we let companies off of paying their taxes in this country, or that HMRC allowed Vodafone to avoid a £6bn tax bill.
  • Thoughts on the Degree Show

    maidstone blog

    Date: Friday, August 03, 2012

The point is that your Degree Show is yours, you decide what to do with it. Myself and UCA staff? We're just here to listen and help you out along the way.

What students say...

  • When concerns and worries about course and university issues were at a distressing tipping point, the Union helped me rationalise and encourage a student-led defence against the problems
