Before moving to Canterbury three years ago I lived in France where I became fluent in the language. I am passionate about music, especially folk, blues, and rock. I play a variety of different instruments and am keen to find and promote as best I can new musical talent in Canterbury.
I am an environmental activist and intend to push forward many green issues this year as chair of the Community Engagement Committee.
In my spare time I ride my motorbike across countries, in the desperate attempt at taking in more than just the motorway service stations, and avoiding the tourist traps. Coincidentally if anyone finds my headphones near Augustow, in Poland, give me a shout! My plan for the near future is a route from England to Australia. But don’t worry, I’ll tidy my desk before I leave!
This year I plan to listen and act. I need everybody with an opinion or issue to get involved in the Union. This way we can fulfil our main goal of being truly representative of our members: ie. YOU!

When concerns and worries about course and university issues were at a distressing tipping point, the Union helped me rationalise and encourage a student-led defence against the problems
UCASU has provided me with the support to set up a society that will benefit so many students.
Thanks for an amazing three years and for helping me so much.
The Union gives hope... when winter is coming.
The Union is an extremely effective group that helps students solve problems arising from course or academic areas.
The Union brought back Life Drawing to the Illustration department after it was cancelled. Life drawing was an integral part of our practice so it was greatly appreciated when it returned!
