Hi, My names Dean and I’m addicted to art...
I studied for three years in Rochester. Prior to that I was on a foundation course at Canterbury. I studied Art & Design Technical & Creative practice and specialised in photography.
I can't live without my camera. Its my past, present and future. I don’t intend to turn it into a career, but I do want to reach the end of the line with a conclusive documentary of my life. Interests, ideologies and perceptions constantly develop throughout life but this way, I know exactly who and where I am.
My specific focus has been re-writing the definitions of sublime within creative imagery. To create something modern not just the classical interpretation, but shots of today’s society viewed from a perspective otherwise disregarded for their uniqueness and/or undesirability to the majority.
I got involved with the Union because I wanted to see change in action, to see more than just a token of acknowledgement or understanding.
I want to see a stronger social community on campus, through clubs and societies and community projects that benefit students studies, better use of the institutions assets, improved access to services we see on ‘some’ campuses.
I want equality for Rochester students.

Please feel free to contact me about anything. I'm here for you.

I'm still writing all of them down. There are too many.
When concerns and worries about course and university issues were at a distressing tipping point, the Union helped me rationalise and encourage a student-led defence against the problems
UCASU has provided me with the support to set up a society that will benefit so many students.
Thanks for an amazing three years and for helping me so much.
The Union gives hope... when winter is coming.
The Union is an extremely effective group that helps students solve problems arising from course or academic areas.
The Union brought back Life Drawing to the Illustration department after it was cancelled. Life drawing was an integral part of our practice so it was greatly appreciated when it returned!
